REFLECTION

Experience

In this Semester, we had learned about the basics of word expression, Text formatting, text animation and we also had learned some history and theory of Typography. Our lecturer had also provided a lot of articles, resources and books for us to read.

Even though the whole semester we attended are in online class, I still feel that I had learned as much as I would if the class were physical. Our lecturer had provided books and resources online for us to learn and most of the time the feedback their provided are very helpful.

Observation

The whole semester was very fun, I did not know that there are so many details to pay attention to when  doing Typography. Especially on the part where we observe and analyse each letter, I was expecting that both side of the letter A are the same and I also expected O to be a perfect circle. But it actually isn't and there are so many tiny details and adjustment that I do not know about.

The project and assignments were really fun and I feel like I really learned a lot from doing these assignments. Learning from listening to lessons and reading books are one way but when you actually try to practise and do it you actually learn more.

Finding

As someone who is not familiar with Typography at all, this semester's lessons had been really helpful. It had taught me some of the basics of Typography such as Kerning, Text formatting, General Terms in Typography etc... The project and assignments were really fun and I feel like I really learned a lot from doing these assignments. Learning from listening to lessons and reading books are one way but when you actually try to practise and do it you actually learn more.
