Final Project - Campaign Branding
Based on the Project 2A: Ideation, create and execute a social media campaign applied across at least four platforms (touch points) within the targeted timeline of the campaign (creativity and relevancy is crucial) by applying the proposed branding strategy. Do consider how the design applications will engage with the target audience (consider customer journey and engagement). Video contents in social media are believed to be an effective campaign promotional tool, hence you are encouraged to create campaign promotional video in the format of Youtube ads, IG Story & etc with time frame around 10 to 30 seconds.

FEEDBACK
Week 6
Specific Feedback
- The design draft you have created are fine but you can consider adding more of your color palette into it
- Start organizing your work and distribute it evenly
Week 7
Specific Feedback
- Try to use more elements for you posting design such as typography and colors.
- Be careful with the placement of the subtitles in the video content, it may be covered by the default Instagram layout
- Try to introduce all influencers as soon as possible so we can ask Taylor's to help us repost
Week 9
Specific Feedback
So fat have yet to reveal the brand's underlining story and positioning, basically what she truly stands for and her experience. Like the Instagram reels thus far (and this is not only riding the rend but represents transformation, just that big idea is not yet clear in execution.) Despite adapting to achieve higher conversion by focusing on having influencer visually present in each output, the reliance of video content is limiting.
Week 10
Specific Feedback
- Good idea to create another account to further expand on the design.
- The sharing experience video is a little too long, growing in a generation where everything is fast pace the audience may not sit through the whole video.
- The sharing experience post is a bit congested, you can try to split or expand it into a few more content.
Week 11
Specific Feedback
- Consider adding more post for the promo code as a reminder for the followers
- Good job on revising on the sharing experience post
- The posting are more consistent and efficient now
Week 12
Specific Feedback
- Shorten about Hasya, campaign description
- Target audience photo does not feel appropriate
- Some of the slides are too cramp, you don't have to jam all the information into 1 slide
- Add a new chapter for the creative executions (posts, stories, etc.) before the statistics chapter
REFLECTION
Experience
It was a little tough for this module, not really on the design part but more on the social media. Personally I'm quite a private person on social media so I'm not familiar or experienced with social media contents and it was pretty confusing and frustrating trying to understand what content resonates with the followers.Observation
I observed that the overall process of the branding, the most important part is always the research. Without proper research and problems there's no need for any design solution. I would say in a branding process, about 60-70% is just research.
Finding
I realized that social media campaign is a whole new world comparing to what I usually do. Just knowing how to design is definitely not enough. You need a lot more other skills than that, I feel like I could have done better but I just wasn't experience with social media and marketing so it did not went as well as I hope it would.

This video is a discussion of what is the difference between branding and marketing by The Futur.
I realize I was quite confuse and was not sure on the difference between branding and marketing, also how do they work together. So I needed to look it up to make myself clear on these topics and I'm sure it will also help me more on my project later on.
From my understanding, branding is where you create the story of the brand. While for marketing, it's more like you are telling the stories. You can't tell the stories, if you don't even have a story to talk about which is the branding. For branding, it's more of a gut feeling of what people feel about your brand, like the quote that was said by Marty Neumeier "your brand is not what you say it is, it's what they say it is." While for marketing, you are telling your own story yourself. Both of them are just equally important to really get message out to the audience.
Here's an interesting definition of marketing that was also found in the video description;
“Here’s the simplest, most jargon-free, definition of marketing you’re ever likely to come across: If the circus is coming to town and you paint a sign saying “Circus Coming to the Showground Saturday,” that’s advertising. If you put the sign on the back of an elephant and walk it into town, that’s promotion. If the elephant walks through the mayor’s flower bed and the local newspaper writes a story about it, that’s publicity. And if you get the mayor to laugh about it, that’s public relations. If the town’s citizens go to the circus, you show them the many entertainment booths, explain how much fun they’ll have spending money at the booths, answer their questions and ultimately, they spend a lot at the circus, that’s sales. And if you planned the whole thing, that’s marketing.” from Allan Dib's 1 Page Marketing Plan.
