25-8-2021/ Week 1 MIB, Format

For week 1, we were briefed on the upcoming projects we will be working on for this module. 

1-9-2021/ Week 2 Design Thinking

For week 2, we were told to look into Unfold App and Artleap App before next week briefing. Today was also a combined lecture for both DSMC and UX.

8-9-2021/ Week 3 Project briefing

Today we were briefed by Pixlr x Taylors about the project. We were then put into groups of 5 or 6 people. We are group 3 and we will be focusing mainly on story making apps.

13 questions that needs to be answered 

1. Which are the top FX apps?
2. What other apps do these users use besides the top FX app?
3. What's their business model & Cost?
4. How do they do their marketing?
5. What do features do people love/hate on those top FX apps?
6. Hashtags they use?
7. Links please
8. What other apps do the companies of those Top FX make?
9. Estimated monthly revenue/downloads?
10. What's missing from these apps?
11. Plot a competition map
12. Who are their target users?
13 What is their problem statement?


15-9-2021/ Week 4 Competitors Analysis, User Journey Map, User Personas

There is no class this week but we have to continue working on the journey map as well as competitor analysis. We will be coming up with 3 personas and we are required to interview 5 people per each personas. So we starting distributing the task and prepare the interviews.

First progress

22-9-2021/ Week 5 Presentation

This week we will be presenting our progress to the Pixlr team. Each groups are given 30 minutes to present what they have worked on.



1-10-2021/ Week 6 Consultation

This week we had a short consultation with our lecturer on our group progress, we will be presenting to the Pixlr team again next week so we need to make sure everything is on the right track.


6-10-2021/ Week 7 Consultation

This week we had a short presentation to the Pixlr team

27-10-2021/ Week 10 Final Presentation

This week is the final presentation to the Pixlr team. We compiled all the research and presented the prototype and suggested actions improvement.




3-10-2021/ Week 12 Tutorial process

After the presentation, we proposed that there could be a short tutorial on the app for the users so they will have a better understanding of how to use it. The final task for these 2 weeks is to work on that.

10-10-2021/ Week 13 Final Submission

This week is the final presentation to the Pixlr team. We compiled all the research and presented the prototype and suggested actions improvement.







Reflection


It definitely was a very tough module, none of us are experience in this so it was very tough for all of us. There were a lot of times where our group was not sure if we are doing it right or if we are even in the right directions. It was very hard to navigate and a lot of doubt as well.
