Project 2
For this group, I am responsible for the overall UI design of the game. To rework on the whole UI of the game while making sure the audience can still recognize it is an among us game.
Title Screen
Title screen exploration
We had to change the UI design because previously we were just using a draft image. This background is not the finalized design yet but it is the general concept of what we are going for. So we explored more options experimenting with the layout and perspective to make sure it fits well with the background.

In Game Screen
The UI control may affect the gameplay, so we tried to analyze the UI of the current Among Us game to see what works from their UI and what don't. So we can create a design that does not feel too foreign for the audience who have played Among Us before. We tried to make it more simple, easier to navigate and we also make sure the design theme fits our game.
We wanted to overall look and feel to feel clean, tidy and futuristic. So we decided to just use pure typography for the overall layout and not use any graphic button. We also added the map and chat box onto the in game screen so it would be easier for the players to look at the map and doesn't have to keep switching it back and fourth.
Role Reveal Scene
Fig 3Role reveal exploration 2
This is one of the most iconic scene in Among Us, for the current Among Us when the role was revealed they just features the character in a flat perspective and that's it, we wanted to make it look more interesting and fitting with our horror space theme.
In the current among us game, when the crewmate role is revealed it would featured all the characters. We decided to change it to just reveal your own character because it makes the overall game look mysterious and scary because you don't know who else is there and you are all by yourself being surrounded in the dark.
The overall design was looking flat, so we started experimenting with lighting and textures to try to add a sense of depth to the overall scene.

After we have finalized the specific layout we are going for. We started focusing on the smaller details such as the size of the text, the placement of the text and the lights. We also realized that we can make it more interesting by creating an animation where we move the light source around to reveal the character. It kind of creates a very prison like isolated feel to it.

Meeting Room
In the current Among Us game, if you want to look at the chat box you would have to click the chat button, then it will pop up as a full screen then you would have to go back and forth to check. So I decided to have both the voting screen and chat box to be shown together so it would be easier to access. I also tried to make it simple and clean while at the same time fit the futuristic clean space aesthetic.
