Final Project (group assignment)

Animated Infographics

Research the chosen topic in your group and breakdown the information into parts- narrative and visualisation with aim to educate the viewers about the issue. Use questions "What, why, where, when, who and how" into the building of your narrative before transferring the information onto your storyboard.

Script


We first started out by doing research and gathering data for our topic. After that we start to write the script together and have one of the member to go through the overall script to make sure the flow is smooth and everything fits together.

Mood board


We then spit the task to everyone evenly, task such as illustration, storyboard, sound effects, animations were assigned to group members. For me, I was in charge of the mood board and the sound effects for the final animated infographics. Overall it was a very fun project and I am very happy working with my group, all of them are so friendly, collaborative and talented. It feels so satisfying to see how the final outcome would look like.

Final Reflection

Final Project 

I was very happy with the group. Everyone was very collaborative and we all always discuss about stuff together. Everyone was very talented and they all did really well for their task. The illustrations and animation were amazing. I was very worried on what I can contribute to the team because I am terrible and illustrating and animating. But in the end I'm glad that I was able to do well for the sound effects of the final video. Looking at the final outcome now it just feels very satisfying to see how it looks, the animations, illustrations and sounds all fits really well together. During about halfway till the semester end, it made me realise I really have to learn more skills such as animation and maybe even illustration. I always struggles with these and I feel like it really restricts me from presenting an idea or anything. I did try to learn some simple kinetic typography animation during off semester but it feels like it wasn't enough. I have to do better and learn more things so in the future I wouldn't struggle as much as I did this semester.
